    Possibly I wrote this passage without emphasizing what "Babylonian Rule" meant as far as Herod the GREAT being Idumean. This might shed some light on why it is so easy to consider the Jews and the Romans in the same "occupation" of Israel and Jerusalem. Here are a couple popular articles:

    This (below) is worked into the Thank You thread but pondering the Book of Mark, in its original form here should help one to understand the "first Gospel" being written around excusing Jesus for not marching wounded and fighting infection back into Jerusalem like the Worthless Shepherd Prophecy has stipulated. Then many years later, Paul launched a war by propaganda against Rome/Idumean Jew occupation of the Temple Mount with the religious pagans of Asia Minor for a mental army.

    Jesus, literally believing the prophecies of the writings in Israel believed that he was to actually be slain by assassination and instead realized he had only been tortured and his death had been staged. Suffering from the nasty puncture wounds gave Jesus no comfort in the task of overthrowing the Herodean Guard.
