Hey everyone,
I’ve noticed a growing love for vintage logo illustration lately — from craft breweries and coffee shops to clothing brands and even tech startups wanting that timeless, nostalgic vibe.
Vintage logos have this magic: they feel hand-crafted, authentic, and tell a story at a glance. Think bold typography, retro color palettes, hand-drawn details, and subtle imperfections that make them stand out from overly polished modern designs.
A few things I’d love to discuss with you all:
✅ What makes a great vintage logo?
Is it the typography, the subtle textures, the color choices, or the illustrated icons?
✅ Do you have go-to tools or techniques?
Some people swear by doing the initial sketch on paper, then vectorizing in Illustrator. Others use Procreate for that textured brush look.
✅ Where do you find inspiration?
Old matchbox labels, vintage signage, classic packaging, and antique store finds are some of my favorite sources.
✅ Who are your favorite vintage logo illustrators or studios?
Drop names or portfolio links! Always looking to follow more artists in this space.
✅ Show us your work!
If you’ve done any vintage-style logos, share a pic or a link. Feedback is welcome, too — let’s help each other get better.
